Greenjeans is Moving!

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

In order to allow our business to grow and evolve, we have decided, after months of deliberation, to relocate Greenjeans. Our last day in our current location in Park Slope, Brooklyn, will be Sunday, June 15th.

We are in the process of looking for a new location that will provide us with more space, more foot traffic, and greater accessibility. Our goal is to bring an expanded range of interesting, high-quality work to a broader customer base while maintaining our founding principles and values.

In the interim, we will continue to keep up the webshop, Greenjeans Blog, and our monthly e-newsletter the Greenjeans Gazette (which you can subscribe to right here). We will also continue doing the Brooklyn Flea (the outdoor market Sundays in Fort Greene).

There will be no “liquidation sale” as we are not going out of business, but in order to ease storage burdens we may be offering some great prices on certain items in-store, through the webshop, and at the Flea.

Please be assured that all gift certificates and store credits will be honored in the webshop or by phone/email order. All in-progress custom orders and wedding registries will remain unaffected.

On a personal note, we are very sad to be leaving this beautiful neighborhood and wonderful community. In the three years and two months that we’ve been here in the South Slope, we have made a lot of good friends and will very much miss seeing you every day. We hope you will keep in touch with us and come visit and patronize Greenjeans again when we reopen!

Again, please know that the webshop and blog will remain active. To stay right up to date with news from Greenjeans sign up for our newsletter (www.greenjeansbrooklyn.com) and/or our RSS feed (www.greenjeansbrooklyn.blogspot.com).

We look forward to sharing news of our progress, and we THANK YOU tremendously for your continued support!

Warmly,

Amy & Jae

I wish you success in your relocation!

Have you checked out the space on the corner of Prospect Park West and 16th Street, formerly a video shop? Also, there are some available spaces on 16th street, just off PPW and near Dub Pies that are worth looking into...

We want you to stay in/near the neighborhood!

Have you thought about moving across the park to Prospect Lefferts Gardens? There are several storefronts along Flatbush currently for rent, including one through Besenretail.com that's very near the rapidly gentrifying Lincoln Road. I know our stretch of Flatbush is not the most appealing yet, but it does get a lot of foot traffic from Lefferts Manor residents and visitors to the Park and the Botanic Garden, and a lot of good things are happening in the neighborhood right now. An American bistro is supposed to be coming to Lincoln Road between K-Dog and Enduro, and Olivino has just gotten a lease on Flatbush and Lincoln for a third (fourth?) location. Plus there's a 23 story glass condo tower being built next to the subway stop, to be completed sometime next year. Compared to Park Slope, commercial rents are still dirt cheap over here, and there's already a solid middle class base of residents in the historic district who would happily support a small business like yours.

Just food for thought. Best of luck finding a new space.

You might like to consider Vanderbilt Ave, between GAP and Atlantic. We're doing really well here now, and there are a few larger storefronts for rent... We'd love to have you, and you'd have no competition for your goods. The neighborhood is excellent. Thriving and very supportive of mom and pops. Good Luck...wherever you land!
